I am an educator, a persuasive communications expert, and campaign strategist. I've taught public speaking and argumentation to audiences ranging from 6th graders to fortune 500 executives and from NGO leaders to national politicians (and a former Secretary of Education), and have coached winning debate teams.

Over the years, I've worked on several state and national political campaigns, and have seen the power of storytelling in persuasive communication. That's why, in the past 5 years, I have immersed myself in the Washington, DC storytelling scene, performing on stages throughout the city.

My philosophy centers on teaching people new skills, or better yet, showing them the skills they didn't know they already have. I currently teach communication at Johns Hopkins University, copy-edit for a number of academic and non-academic outlets, and advise two congressional candidates on communication and campaign strategy.
